Discover Horse Riding:
7 Hours in the Saddle, suitable for beginners and novice riders
Our beginner horse riding holiday is ideal for those who’ve never ridden or looking to gain confidence in the saddle. With 3 days riding you’ll have plenty of time to discover your passion and a chance to try some of our other activities too!

Day 1:
2 hours of riding. We start off with a 1 hour small group lesson to learn the principles of riding in the safety of the arena. Once you’re comfortable our guides will lead you on a beautiful country track through the local countryside. Two hours of riding to get your week started.

Day 2:
2 hours of riding. Following morning tuition to progress your riding, our guides will take you on our Pathfinder Ride. Our unspoilt tracks and trails through the countryside, with views of the Monchique mountain range, stunning landscapes and an abundance of lush flora lining the trails – it’s a brilliant two hour ride.

Day 3:
3 hours of riding. Now you’re comfortable and confident in the saddle you’re ready to explore the coastline and National Park on the Safari Ride. Bigger tracks with instruction on the way, you will ride through the national forests to the west coast and explore the wild and beautiful beaches the Algarve is so famous for. It’s a real adventure ride and the perfect end to your riding holiday.

Please note: Riding on beaches is not permitted during the holiday season.
