Starting from Lagos, we head towards the stunning South Coast, following lots of secret single tracks. On the all day ride we head towards the edge of the national park, stop for lunch, and then loop back towards Lagos via exciting new routes. On the half day ride, we cycle impressive tracks towards Praia da Luz taking in beautiful views along the way, make a pit stop at a local cafe, and then head back to our based in Lagos. We customise the routes to suit your biking level; whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or expert.
This route is ideal for those looking for adventure. To begin we drive out to start from a charming little village in the bottom of a valley. We dive straight in and start the ride with fast flowing single tracks that link up various villages. Once we arrive at the first village, we stop at a cafe; soak up the local culture before heading along more, fast single dirt tracks. We stop for lunch near a stunning national forest before spending the afternoon riding through the forest using hidden trails we built ourselves. We will then head back down to the valley where we started. We can tailor this route to half day or all day, suitable for intermediate and advanced.
This exciting all day only route is perfect for you experts! The views on this route are nothing short of incredible as all the ride is in the national park. The climbs are tough, often steep over loose rocks, with equally challenging descents down valleys and ridge lines to hidden beeches. We make a pit stop at a local cafe in Salema, and then head over to Zavial for our usual lunch spot. Our typical route is 45km with over 1,000m climbing. We drive out to this loop from our base in Lagos. Expect adventure, challenges and spectacular views!
Wild West Coast:
Set in the national park, this one is on the West Coast. After a coffee at Cordoama beach, we begin the route along old roads and fire breaks to climb up from and descend down to the beaches along the coast, before stopping for lunch at Vila do Bispo. Much of the route is on 4×4 tracks, it isn’t too technical; but has climbs of up to 150m, and plenty of them! It is a peaceful and stunning place to be, far from the usual tourist gatherings. This route is suitable for intermediate level due to the bike fitness that is required.
Starting at Lagos, our canal ride weaves through the Algerian countryside following the watering canals the farmers use to water their crops. We will stop at a local cafe in Odiaxere and have lunch in beautiful Bensafrim. Our typical route is around 50km long with 500m climbs and long stretches of very fast easy single tracks. This route is suitable for intermediate level and only available as an all day ride.
Our most popular ride! Take in some of the most jaw-dropping views from the top of the cliffs in Lagos. Let us take you along Ponta da Piedade to see the famous cliff formations, and then ride to the highest point where you can see all the way to Sagres. This ride is suitable for all levels, depending on how adventurous you feel, take a fun, fast descent or a serene steady ride down to the beach. We stop for a well-earned cafe break on the beach before retuning along the cliffs to Lagos. This half day ride around 18km long takes you on a spectacular scenic route.
Starting from Lagos, our ride begins heading down through cobbled streets before riding down the Avendia and crossing the river into the Lagos marina. Following the long stretch of beach and taking in wonderful views, we stop at a local beach cafe. We will then ride out to the lagoon where the oysters and fish farms are, before heading back to Lagos through farmland following the old salt evaporation flats. This ride is suitable for beginners, 18km and takes you on a beautiful picturesque route.
Starting from Lagos, we ride along the South Coast taking in spectacular views. This route links our Cliff Top ride and Beach Ride with lots of extra single tracks. We stop off at a cafe for lunch at one of the most beautiful beaches in Lagos. Depending on your ability we can customise the technical level and distance of this ride to make it either scenic or intermediate.
